My paintings have been described as visual meditations:
tranquil yet flowing with energy and depth.
I like to say I paint nothing—vast expanses of sky and water—yet with your help I suppose
one could say I paint everything: visual resting places animated with subtle color variations and
textures that serve as mere departure points for your imagination.
This minimalist style preference began in my graphic designer days when I was often asked
to design brochures on a limited budget. To do this successfully, I relied on "negative space",
surrounding tastefully-executed typography or a precious nugget of an illustration with wonderful,
pure nothingness. The end result was classic and elegant restraint, which I adored.
Now a fine artist, I continue this appreciation for the less-is-more aesthetic. I invite you to linger awhile. Come inside
my paintings and complete them with your own eyes, mind and heart.
