What is Giclee Canvas

Giclee canvas is a high-quality reproduction of original art on canvas.

Giclee is derived from the French word "gicler" (pronounced ji-clay), meaning to squirt or to spray. It is inkjet print
technology that results in increased resolution and color range, and with stunning results.

Giclee refers to the process of how ink is applied to paper or canvas using a large format printer. This inkjet
printer has a high resolution of 2880 x 1440, often with 10 to 15 ink wells. When you use a magnifier, you won't
see dots as you would with traditional printing. Not even ink splatters. Giclees have a continuous tone with smooth
transitions between colors. That's why they look so great!

Giclee canvas prints are somewhat more costly than traditional prints. But the giclee canvas resembles a genuine
painting, and often, no one can tell the difference. Giclees also have high archival qualities that can last for 100
to 200 years. This makes the giclee canvas print a preferred choice for fine artists and photographers alike.

My giclee canvas reproductions are printed using archival inks on museum grade canvas.
Under normal viewing conditions, they will last 100–200 years.
